SMSi Standard edition is released to the market

SMSi Standard Edition came to life and was released to the market in July 2020. Since then, users of the SMSi Standard Module have used the system to manage post-shutdown activities for shutdowns ranging over as much as 400,000 man-hours.

The post-shutdown and turnaround stage is a daunting phase to manage. People have been on site for a long period of time and are likely quite fatigued. Many resources must be demobilised quickly in order to keep the cost down, so it’s probable that there will be a resources constraint. A lot must be done with due diligence to ensure that:

  • resources are demobilised efficiently and safely
  • plant is cleaned and return to its original state
  • old parts are binned or returned for repairs
  • post-shutdown reports are produced for further analysis

It’s simultaneously important to gain visibility over post-shutdown KPIs, to report on performance and to assess lagging KPIs to identify where improvement is needed.

Whether a shutdown is small and straightforward or large and complex, your shutdown organisation will benefit from SMSi Standard* Edition, which provides a robust framework where teams can manage post-shutdown activities visibly, efficiently and collaboratively.
